GreenHostIt was launched in April 2010 and has already generated a lot of interest from businesses and web masters who choose environmentally responsible hosting and want to make “green” part of their on-line corporate culture.
GreenHostIt, Founder, Ms. Rosendahl has over 21 years experience in systems analysis, hosted applications, and management as well as over 16 years experience in the web hosting industry. In 1998, Ms. Rosendahl founded WebsiteSource.com and over the course of 10 years, she built the company into a world-leader in the Internet hosting community. Upon the sale of the company in 2008, the company served nearly sixty-thousand website owners worldwide.
We’re committed to improving the environment while reaching out to our clients to ensure they have the best on-line experience available. We’ve built our success on the success of our clients…[the two] are intertwined.
According to an article on Information Week, the energy consumed by data center servers and related infrastructure equipment worldwide has more than doubled during year 2000 and 2005. GreenHostIt is proud to offer web hosting services hosted in an environmentally-friendly green data center.
GreenHostIt was founded with the goal of using Linux hosting in a "green" data center. With influential tools and such as Joomla, WordPress, Drupal, osCommerce, and cPanel, GreenHostIt helps companies navigate the entire Internet spectrum, while at the same time practicing responsible, eco-friendly business practices.

The Austin Chamber Clean Energy Council is an industry committee comprised of local clean energy industry representatives who advise and assist in the attraction and creation of jobs within the clean energy sector, and focus on growing the Austin metro clean energy economy through economic development, public policy, marketing, and strategic collaboration initiatives.
