Green Web Hosting And Beyond
Everything done at GreenHostIt is performed with the Earth’s limited resources in mind.
We are a team of remarkable, passionate, curious and fearless web developers. We love the Internet and are excited about using Texas Wind energy to revolutionize the web hosting industry.
Founded in 2009, GreenHostIt is a web hosting firm that provides high quality green web hosting for clients around the globe. Under the wise leadership of renowned technical writer, Stephanie Rosendahl, GreenHostIt cares about its customers’ websites and the overall well-being of their business. This is why all the services offered are powered by 100% Texas Wind energy, thereby ensuring numerous environmental benefits.
GreenHostIt understands that a website is crucial to the overall success of a business. It takes just a moment’s hesitation to create doubt. In that moment, you can lose a customer. In the real world, people do business face to face. So, in order to make a judgement call, visitors decide whether or not they want to do business with you through your website. It is trustworthy? Does it load quickly?
Whichever type of business you run, your business website must portray a level of professionalism that customers trust.
- There are basically three types of business websites:
- Local business
- Service business
The organic, gluten-free and no GMO society that we live in demands quality. Making use of both essential common sense and modern technology, GreenHostIt offers web hosting that is easy to use and affordable. Everything done at GreenHostIt is performed with the Earth’s limited resources in mind. GreenHostIt always ensures that it employs animal and earth-friendly practices including the use of recycled materials whenever possible.

Each year traditional energy generation sources pump tons of toxic residue into the atmosphere. We educate site owners on their power consumption, and provide alternatives that enhance the air we breathe and the corporate image site owners present to their clientele. Our free green badges are the perfect way to start a green marketing campaign. Our Green Host It badge will show your website visitors that your company is environmentally conscious, verifying your website is powered by 100% renewable energy. Promoting your green site enhances customer appeal and helps increase traffic to your site. Today more and more companies are finding that their customers judge the overall quality of their brand based on their response and policies regarding the environment.
Founded in 2009, Green Host It offsets all electricity use with RECs (renewable energy certificates) powered by 100% Texas Wind energy. The company works to shrink the carbon footprint of website owners. Green Host It achieves these objectives by employing carbon-neutral energy sourcing and out-reach client care that ensures access to the web for businesses and individuals who are part of the fast-growing Green Power movement. Because producing wind power ourselves is not possible, our company has purchased Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs) powered by Texas Wind energy to offset our energy use. Our vision for environmentally friendly green hosting has come to light and in 2016, Green Host It celebrated its six year anniversary.
The idea for Green Host It originated after founder, Stephanie Rosendahl, finalized the sale of her first web hosting company, Website Source, Inc. which, upon its sale in 2008, hosted 250,000+ domains worldwide. Later, after receiving a tragic medical diagnosis, Mrs. Rosendahl learned that the carbon emissions from coal-fired power plants are among the contributing factors to lung cancer and that the data center industry is the second largest contributor of carbon emissions in the United States. A combination of physical conditioning and strong spirit took over. During Rosendahl’s cancer treatment, before her recovery, before she even knew her own fate, she created Green Host It. This marked the beginning of Stephanie’s life as an advocate for green energy.
